My Story

Though you probably already know by now, my name is Dannel Suri. I was born and raised in the beautiful and rainy state of Washington. I received Jesus Christ as my Savior July 6, 2011 while at a Bible youth camp. If you want to know more about how you can make that decision, then click here. Though  I was saved at a young age, I didn't become serious with my walk with God until I was in high school. I went to Bible college in California where I earned my Bachelor's Degree, and met my wonderful husband. After getting married, we drove across the country to the state of Wisconsin where my husband pastors. Before becoming a stay-at-home-mother to my twin boys, I worked with preschool and elementary aged children in childcare facilities, and in both physical and online classrooms.

I have always dabbled in writing, but I started writing some poems in January 2024 to encourage myself in the Lord. I reminded myself of Who God is and what He has promised He would do in His Word, the Bible. I felt that these truths were great for my children to one day learn. I decided to start illustrating the poems that I was writing, which is how Dannel Suri's Stories came to be. My Goal is to encourage the next generation to draw closer to God through Christian children's books.
